This post is in response to "Some thoughts about this blogging platform." First of all, that post gave me the idea to allow posts to be published as responses to other posts. I think it's better than comments because it forces the response to be well thought out.

Interesting points are raised in that post. No, unfortunately, you can't trust the privacy of this platform. I don't make it open source simply because I'm embarrassed by the code. But I really don't store any data. There are no scripts, no backend statistics (beyond the number of views, which is just a simple integer in each database row).

Regarding spammy blogs, my policy is that if I find one that's spam, it will be deleted because it puts all other blogs at risk. That's all there is to it. I would love to implement a fee, but that will only happen if the platform proves attractive. For now, I think it should be free to attract more people.

The post, in any case, made me happy because it means someone took this seriously and thought of a real critique, so thank you very much, anonymous author!
